Home composting in Malabar City Forest

Home composting is a building that serves for the process of composting waste crops / straw / manure waste / household organic waste into organic fertilizer / compost.

Equipment and machines that are used include: Engineering APPO (Organic Fertilizer Processing Equipment), 3-wheel vehicles, and other supporting equipment.

In the home composting, will do the composting process. Composting is a natural process in which organic materials decompose biologically particularly by microbes that utilize organic matter as an energy source.

The Compost

From  the composting process, will produce organic fertilizer / compost. Fertilizer / compost is a fertilizer that is largely or entirely composed of organic materials derived from parts of plants or animals that have gone through the process of decomposition, can be solid or liquid that can serve as fertilizer and can be used to improve physical properties, chemical properties, and biology of agricultural land

The purpose of making home composting :

-       Easing step in implementing the composting process so that the composting process can proceed smoothly.

-       Reducing the environmental problems due to the organic waste generated mainly from human activities.

-       Decreasing the amount of waste in the form of domestic organic waste so as to create comfort and cleanliness in a private environment, family, and society.

-       To produce a product (compost) which has added value to society and government.
